Three Rivers Action Medics is a group of medically
trained justice and peace workers in and around
Pittsburgh, PA. We volunteer before, during, and after
protests, camps, and marches to promote the health and
wellness of politically and socially active people.
You can become involved in TRAM by bringing a new
project to us, or by helping with an existing project.
Our projects include:
- Educational health and first aid workshops
before and during actions.
- Tactical StreetMedic teams at actions.
- Wellness "health monitors" at actions.
- First aid / wellness space at large actions.
- Aftercare following large or traumatic
actions.
- Developing critical reports of action
coverage..
- Health and first aid education between
actions, to highlight discrepancies in healthcare and
encourage action.
Contact us if you want to help in any of our projects.
We can provide on-site education for all projects
except tactical Street Medicine. StreetMedic trainings
are offered around the Northeast US periodically, and
we can refer you to a trainer.
