Skill Sharing & Trainings

The Thomas Merton Center recognizes the importance of sharpening capacity building and organizing skills within the movement.  We see both traditional trainings and skill sharing as a means to sharpen our plowshares, if you will.  This column in The NewPeople is part of that effort to hopefully provide some insight on different capacity building and organizing skills and tools.  We are looking for contributors to future columns.  We are also looking for folks who would be interested in making their skills available in trainings or other venues.  If you are interested in doing either of these things please contact Jim Kleissler at 361-3022 or email us.

"I am against war, against violence, against violent revolution, for peaceful settlement of differences, for nonviolent but nevertheless radical changes. Change is needed, and violence will not really change anything: at most it will only transfer power from one set of bull-headed authorities to another."  Thomas Merton
