Thank you's...page 2

This is a thank-you letter and I'm sure you all are probably sick of my "thanking" but this is the only way I could show you people who go out of your way when you don't have to, that someone in this world is happy and greatful for what you all do! ...It's hard to laugh in here but when supplied with what you all give me, it makes it better.

I've found a purpose, a minuscule measure of closure, respite, refuge and escape from this pestilent palace of poison and perversions in various books and bound text.

Thank you for your latest shipment of book.  As always, they are a great joy to me and help me occupy my thoughts as I languish in the Special Housing Unit (SHU).  These past 13 months in "solitary" have been helped along greatly by your generous donations.  All of the wonderful books you have sent have been passed along to other SHU inmates.  Your support has been a blessing.  Thank you.

Thank you for sending the books!  You will never know the relief from being tired of staring at a wall and your mind reeling from depression!  Thank you, with all my respect, always.

I sincerely appreciate the love and support this organization show's towards convicts.  I just want you and the others to know that it means a lot to me personally, and thank you for the book "On a Move" about the political prisoner inspirational brother, Mumia, as well as the Prison Directory Action.

Many thanks for the books which I received today!  I am especially delighted with the huge book of short stories, many of which are by authors I've intended to read for years, but never gotten around to.  Now I shall!  With appreciation.

To a very deserving group of souls: I wish for you all the happiest and most enjoyable holidays that can ever be experienced or imagined and, hopefully, the true spirit of the holiday season will light up each of your lives with the same kind of wonderful radiance that your carind, compassion, and humanity bestow upon those who are fortunate enough to cross paths, in this lifetime, with your kind efforts.

I am currently serving triple life...Daily I struggle to voicelessly ignore the madness of this dismole monotony, sickness, filth and sinuous squalor cantakerously coupled with the ever increasing degradation, but instead I find myself feverishly yearning to capture and convey the unexpected nobility of human suffering.  I'm grateful to have found a modicum of sollace from the horrific dehumanization that diabolically descends upon all that unwillingly dwells within the morbid confines of this carnal circus of chaos.  Its surprising, at least to me, to have unearthed this temporary respite in the thick pages of a assortment of books and other bits of literature.  ...The books your program so generously supplies does more for me that a thousand head doctors, a unlimited quantity of medication or any therapist ever could.

Today I received a physiology textbook from your organization.  I cannot thank you enough!  You sent me exactly what I needed.  I have already started to study it.  I am so interested in this subject that all of my free time will be devoted to it until I absorb all of the information from cover to cover.  I just wanted to say that your kindness is dearly appreciated and will not be forgotten!  Continuing to gain knowledge while I'm in prison is the only way that I will not fall behind my peers in the free-world.  Knowledge will help me re-establish myself in a world that is progressing in technology at and incredible rate.  Once again, I thank you!
