I am currently incarcerated at Sing Sing Correctional Facility for the next few years. During this unfortunate period in my life I have taken the opportunity to make the best of a potentially bad situation by rehabilitating myself through education. Therefore, I have comitted myself to spend a great deal of time working to piece together the many puzzles that HIV/AIDS present. I have tried to bring together the best information available, but since research into this devastating disease is one of the most active areas in the medical community, new information is continually replacing old. To stay curren with the continuing growth spurts in the field of HIV/AIDS research and to be a reliable source of information, it is crucial that I inform myself of any new medical findings in the battle against HIV/AIDS. I am, therefore, writing in the hopes that your book program will be able to provide the most updated reading material related to HIV/AIDS research.

I am writing you in regards to some information on stopping abuse, domestic abuse, stopping child abuse, sexual assault prevention, etc. I am incarcerated at SCI Albion where I am a Peer Leader in the Sex Offenders unit. Through positive therapy I have been able to get the help I needed, and now am trying to help other inmates who have trouble seeing the impact of their crimes against women and understanding the trauma they put women through. I am in the last phase of building a resource center where inmates can go and research & read up on their crimes, so they will never want to hurt a woman again. Any books or literature that you could send me would be deeply appreciate, and put to good use. I would like to thank you in advance for your time, and consideration of this matter.

Due to proclaimed budget shortages, the maximum security prison here at Menard has fired the librarian, and closed down the prison library no longer allowing inmates access to books. Though limited access to the law library continues for the time being, the main library has been closed for about a year now. As an avid reader, I, and other guys here have been reduced to reading whatever we can from guys are lucky enough to have sent in by their family. I dont happen to be one of the lucky ones. Worse, my own interests are limited to mostly non-fiction works concerning the subjects listed below: Ancient History, World Religion, the Arts, the Revolutionary War...
