Celebrating Dissent

The Celebration of Political Dissent on Saturday, October 23, began with a parade down Penn Ave and culminated in an evening of networking, socializing and joyous recognition of the art, music, puppets and activism happening in the local progressive community.

"In the face of an election that doesn't promise any real social or political change in a country plagued by rampant consumerism with a hunger for war, there are those who resist and even turn their frustration into beauty," said organizer Mitchell Kulkin.
