As a supporter of the Thomas Merton Center you may be aware that it is time again to start preparing for the 2004 Thomas Merton Award Dinner. We wanted to alert you to the fact that we are once again replacing the silent auction with a raffle featuring three prizes - a week at a 2 bedroom condo (sleeps six) at Treasure Lake, on the edge of the Allegheny Forest, in northwestern Pennsylvania, with many recreational facilities, and two separate packages of pairs of tickets to cultural and entertainment events around the city. Each chance is $5. To purchase a ticket, call or stop into the TMC during regular business hours. We'll keep one stub, the other is for your records. The winners will be drawn at the dinner on November 18th. Winner need not be present. This event is the major fundraiser of the TMC and helps make possible the local peace and justice work throughout the year. Please support us by purchasing as many raffle tickets as you can. We have plenty available at the center. We also need help selling tickets at churches, union halls, family gatherings and any other possible venues. Don’t hesitate to call if you have any questions.
